South Bay Seafood offers two types of baked clams: the traditional Bob Doxsee Recipe, which calls for seasoned breadcrumbs, and South Bay’s own recipe, which includes Japanese Panko breadcrumbs.  Both styles come in a real clam shell, which make authentic and elegant presentations.   Our recipes use wild clams from the US and our prices are consistent.  IQF (Individually Quick Frozen).  Each case contains 50 clams.

Who is Bob Doxsee?  A Long Island Legacy

The Doxsees’ family legacy goes back generations.  The original Doxee plant was established in Islip, New York in 1892.  The business eventually relocated to Point Lookout, New York and was passed down and operated by direct descendants until 2012.  Upon Bob Doxsee III’s retirement, customers of the Doxsee’s Handmade Baked Clams were up in arms.
South Bay Seafood has taken over production of Bob Doxsee’s Handmade Baked Clams ever since 2012 under the stipulations that the ingredients, recipe, and production remains in tact to ensure accurate representation of Bob Doxsee’s legacy, which is supremely delicious.
